Alan N Smiy, MD, was born and raised near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the
second generation of an immigrant family. He is a graduate of the University
of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. Dr. Smiy also holds
a Masters In Business Administration from the University of Toledo. He obtained
his medical degree from The American University of the Caribbean in Plymouth,
Montserrat and completed all of his clinical training in Milwaukee, Wisconsin
through the Medical College of Wisconsin and University of Wisconsin Medical
School programs. He completed his residency in Family Practice at the Michigan
State University/Sparrow Family Practice Residency Program in Lansing, Michigan.

He is a member of the Michigan State Medical Society, the Berrien County Medical Society, the American Academy of Family Practice, the American Medical Association, and a former member of the Ingham County Medical Society.

He and his wife of 18 years share the joy of raising four children.
